Notes Terms

MatchMax sells a digital file to the buyer. The selling tutor warrants that they own the material, or hold written permission, and licenses the file to MatchMax for sale. The tutor is an independent seller; MatchMax is not the tutor's agent.

Every upload warrants that the material is the tutor's own work or carries written permission, and that it is not on the ban list. The ban list is published on the notes guide and includes:

• School internal tests, mocks, or answer keys.
• Publisher worksheets or textbook pages.
• HKEAA DSE, TSA, HKCEE, or HKALE papers or marking schemes.
• IB past papers, markschemes, questionbanks, or the last two exam sessions.
• Another student's IA, EE, or TOK work without written permission.
• A file with a phone number, WhatsApp, Instagram, or QR code inside.

A purchase grants a personal licence: one student, no resale, no class set, no uploading elsewhere. Sharing the file beyond the buyer's own use ends the licence.

Files are delivered inside the buyer's account after staff mark the FPS payment as received. The receipt email contains no file. Each file is stamped with the order and account identifiers.

MatchMax is the seller of record: parents pay MatchMax by FPS, and the tutor's share is held back after delivery before it joins the monthly payout run. This escrow hold is the buyer's protection.

• After delivery, MatchMax holds the seller's share for 48 hours (72 for new sellers: the first sales or the first 14 days) or until you tap "Received, no issue", whichever comes first.
• Refunds are paid ONLY from the still-held seller funds. MatchMax never pays a notes refund out of its own money.
• Notes are study aids written by independent tutors. MatchMax does not warrant that any file is accurate or complete, or that it will produce any grade or exam result.
• Your remedy is the dispute: if the file is defective or materially different from its description, open a dispute from your order page during the hold window and staff will refund valid cases (full or partial) from the held funds. Once the hold is released there is no refund promise.

Before the payment is confirmed, staff simply reject the payment and you are never charged. After the file is released, the escrow hold applies: a valid dispute (a defective, corrupt, or substantially not-as-described file) is refunded from the still-held funds during the hold window. Once the hold ends and the tutor has been paid, no refund is promised.

We may remove a pack and refund buyers if a rights holder complains. Repeat banned uploads close the tutor's notes privilege; serious breaches suspend selling altogether.

MatchMax is not affiliated with the IB, HKEAA, or any school. Nothing in these terms promises a grade, an offer, or that a school will accept the notes.

These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong.
