Booking for yourself vs your child
A single MatchMax account lets you book lessons directly as an independent student, or add Child Profiles under Account to manage multiple children's tutors in one place. Tutors automatically see whether they are speaking with a parent or directly with a student, so communication is tailored from day one.

Filter by subject, MTR, budget — or let concierge shortlist.

Concierge introduction
Confirm availability, share full name, coordinate Lessons 1–2.

Tutor settles the 1.5-lesson admin fee
The admin fee is 100% of Lesson 1 + 50% of Lesson 2, owed by the self-employed tutor and paid to MatchMax by FPS. Parents do not pay MatchMax a matching fee.

Pay your tutor directly every lesson
You settle the tutor’s hourly rate directly for every lesson, including the first two. From Lesson 3 on, scheduling is entirely between you and the tutor.
The money, in plain terms
Rates are the tutor’s
Tutors set their own hourly rates; the card shows exactly what they charge.
Privacy until matched
Cards show a preferred display name or an anonymous code; the full name arrives with the concierge introduction.
Replacement after poor Lesson 1 fit
If Lesson 1 is a poor fit, tell the concierge and we arrange a replacement tutor.
Sickness/reschedule with tutor
A lesson missed through sickness is rescheduled directly with the tutor.
Google sign-in to request
Browsing is free; submitting a request needs a quick Google sign-in so we know who to contact.
1-on-1 or small groups (2–6; same 1.5 fee per student)
Hire 1-on-1, or join a small group (2–6 students) at a lower per-student rate. The same 1.5-lesson admin fee applies per student.
What MatchMax does not do
We don’t sit in after Lesson 2
The concierge stays on call for Lessons 1 & 2; after that it is between you and the tutor.
We don’t take a cut of later lessons
The 1.5-lesson admin fee is the only money MatchMax keeps.
We don’t manage your ongoing calendar
Rescheduling and the ongoing timetable are arranged directly with the tutor.
