MatchMax was founded by recent IB and DSE graduates to fix a broken system. Traditional agencies take massive cuts, driving up costs for families and underpaying educators. We believe that when an agency takes less, everyone wins. By strictly limiting our commission to just the first one and a half lessons, we make elite tutoring more accessible for parents and significantly more rewarding for tutors. As a high-touch concierge, we also personally manage your onboarding and your first 2 lessons, then step back and leave parents and tutors to run the ongoing schedule directly. When you use MatchMax, you aren't just finding a tutor—you are directly supporting dedicated educators in a fairer, transparent community.

We manually verify every top scorer and school examiner so you don't have to. Experience Hong Kong's most transparent, easy-to-use platform for finding and comparing premium tutors. Once you are matched, our concierge team actively manages the communication for your first 2 lessons—then parents and tutors take over the ongoing schedule directly.
MatchMax manages the introduction and the first two lessons. The ongoing schedule is between parent and tutor.
For parents
Browse the verified cards or send the request form. We shortlist, the concierge introduces, and the first two lessons run with us on call. Then you pay the 1.5-lesson admin fee by FPS — after that, you pay the tutor directly.

Gold Verified badge
MatchMax operates a dual-tier ecosystem. Tutors with the gold 'Verified' badge have submitted their official Academic Transcripts and Hong Kong Identity Card (HKID) to our administrative team for cross-referencing.
Self-reported profiles
Unverified tutors rely on self-reported scores and are required to provide their academic proof directly to you prior to the first lesson.
MatchMax is not endorsed by the IB, HKEAA, or any school. We check documents the tutor uploads. We do not guarantee a grade, an offer, or a teacher's marking style.
