Tutors

Everything a tutor needs: how listing works, what the commission really is, and what MatchMax does not do.

How it works

  1. 1

    Submit your credentials

Send your transcript, component scores, and the MTR stations that work for you.

  2. 2

We check, then list you anonymously

We check your documents manually. Your card goes live without your photo or full name.

  3. 3

Claim cases that fit the commute

Browse the open case board and claim the cases near your stations. The first two lessons run with us on call.

  4. 4

Keep the hourly pay after the admin fee

After two lessons and the 1.5-lesson admin fee, the hourly pay is yours. The commission is 1.5 lessons — not a cut of later lessons.

The money, in plain terms

Commission is 1.5 lessons, once

MatchMax takes 1.5 lessons per successful match. Every lesson after that is paid straight to you.

Your photo and full name stay private

The public card is anonymous. The parent learns your full name only at the introduction.

Online and in person are both allowed

Offer either or both, and filter cases by the stations you can reach.

No experience minimum beyond the academic bar

If your grades clear the verification bar, you can list. Teaching experience is not required.

What MatchMax does not do

We don't take a percentage of your pay

There is no percentage model. The 1.5-lesson admin fee per match is everything we take.

We don't run your calendar

You and the parent arrange lesson times directly. We stay out of the scheduling.

We don't take your students

After the introduction and the fee, the student is yours. We do not re-market to your student or take them back.
