Everything a parent needs: how matching works, what you pay, and what MatchMax does not do.

How matching works

  1. 1

Browse verified cards or send a request

Search the verified tutor cards by subject, station, and budget — or submit a case request and let the concierge shortlist for you.

  2. 2

We introduce a tutor and stay close

We check the tutor's documents, make the introduction, and stay involved for the first two lessons.

  3. 3

Pay MatchMax the 1.5-lesson admin fee

After the first two lessons, pay the admin fee by FPS. It equals 1.5 lessons — that is the only fee MatchMax keeps.

  4. 4

Pay the tutor directly after that

From the third lesson on, you settle the tutor's hourly rate directly. MatchMax steps out of the schedule.

The money, in plain terms

Rates are the tutor's

Tutors set their own hourly rates. What the card shows is what the tutor charges — we do not mark it up.

Names stay off the public card

Cards show first names only. You get the tutor's full name when the concierge makes the introduction.

A poor fit can be replaced

If the fit is wrong after lesson one, tell the concierge and we will arrange a replacement tutor.

Sickness is rescheduled with the tutor

A lesson missed through sickness is rescheduled directly with the tutor — nobody loses the money.

An account is needed to request

Browsing is free and open. Submitting a case request needs a parent account so the concierge knows who to contact.
